Program Overview

This case-based seminar will cover spinal pathology, imaging techniques, and red-flag conditions that chiropractors may encounter. Attendees will deepen their understanding of disc lesions, degenerative scoliosis, biomechanics, and the proper utilization of radiographic imaging.

Day 1: Saturday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Morning Session (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Hour 1: Search Pattern Identification (Anatomy, Bone, Cartilage, Soft Tissue)

Hour 2: Arthritis Overview (Ankylosing Spondylitis, DISH) and Tumors (Metastasis, Multiple Myeloma, Bronchogenic Carcinoma)

Hour 3: Soft Tissue Pathology (Sports Injuries, Rotator Cuff Tears, Nerve Impingement, Fractures)

Hour 4: Biomechanics of the Spine (Leg Length Inequality, Lovett Curve, Hip Dysplasia, Slipped Epiphysis)

Lunch Break (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)

Afternoon Session (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

Hour 5: Spinal Cord Lesions (Fibroid Uterine, Bone Infarction, Sickle Cell Anemia, Calcified Granuloma)

Hour 6: Spondylolisthesis (Active, Inactive, Pending)

Hour 7: Medicolegal Cases and Myelopathy (Acute Spinal Cord Trauma)

Hour 8: Red Flags in the Office – Discitis, Cervical and Lumbar Pathology

Day 2: Sunday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hour 9: Neurology – Myelopathy, Canal Stenosis, Differential Diagnosis

Hour 10: Tumor Pathology – Metastasis, Multiple Myeloma, and Pancoast Tumor

Hour 11: Trauma – Clinical Presentation, Imaging (Spinal Fracture, Aneurysm, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Discitis)

Hour 12: Lumbar Disc Lesions – Bulge, Herniation, Protrusion, Extrusion, Migration

Lunch Break (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Afternoon Session (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

Hour 13: MRI Case Examples of Disc Lesions and Central Canal Stenosis

Hour 14: Modic Changes – Degenerative Endplate Changes vs Disc Infection

Hour 15: Degenerative Scoliosis – Definition, Measurements, Prognosis

Hour 16: Progression Markers and Spondylolisthesis (Grading, Symptoms, Stenosis)

Learning Objectives Identify and implement a search pattern for spinal imaging.Differentiate and diagnose red-flag conditions from common spinal pathologies.Understand MRI sequences, disc lesion classifications, and degenerative scoliosis evaluations.
